Salé , March 8, 2012 (MAP)
The main accused in the Argana café bombings in Marrakech, Ali EL Athmani, denied on Wednesday all charges against him.
The defendant, who was heard on Wednesday at an appeals court in Salé, acknowledged to have travelled illegally to Turkey and Libya before being extradited from Syria to Morocco.
During the hearing, he said he will accept the death sentence if his conviction is fully supported by evidence before court.
Last October, El Othmani was given the death penalty following his conviction of the bomb attack against a café Argana in Marrakech which left 17 dead and several others wounded.
Abdelhakim Dah, another defendant in the same case who was given life sentence, also denied all charges, noting that his relation with El Athmani does not exceed the commercial framework.
He admitted, though, that he entered Libya illegally then Algeria for commercial reasons.
