Washington- Born on September 26, 1961 in Fez, Mr. Boussaid obtained an engineering degree from the Paris National School of Bridges and Roads – ENPC- Paris (option of Industrial Engineering) degree in 1986 and a “Master of Business Administration from the ENPC’s International School of Business in 2000.
From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Boussaid served as a consulting engineer in the Commercial Bank of Morocco (Banque Commerciale du Maroc). He has subsequently served as the deputy general manager of a company specializing in the production and trading of chemicals (1992 -1994).
From 1994 to 1995 he was in charge of portfolio management of large enterprises at Banque Marocaine du Commerce and Industry (BMCI).
Member of the National Rally of Independents (RNI ), Boussaid has also served from 1995 to 1998, as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Public Works and Chief of Staff of the Minister of Agriculture, Equipment and Environment.
From 1998 to 2001, he was director of programs and studies at the Department of Public Works before becoming between 2001 and 2004, the Director of public institutions, then Director of Public Enterprises and Privatization at the Ministry of Finance and Privatization.
In 2004, he was appointed Minister of Public Sector Modernization and in October 2007, Minister of Tourism and Handicraft.
In March 2010, Mr. Boussaid was appointed Wali of Souss -Massa -Draa, Governor of the Prefecture of Agadir Idda Outane, then Wali of the Grand Casablanca region, Governor of the Prefecture of Casablanca in May 2012.
