Paris – According to the minister of higher education, scientific research and executives training, Lahcen Daoudi, the Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Political Science will open in Fez next September.

Based in Fez, the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez focuses on Euro-Mediterranean studies. Since its inauguration in 2014, the University has been consistently engaged in improving higher education quality and international reputation through bilateral agreements with higher education establishments.

On Tuesday 15 September 2015, the Euro-Mediterranean University signed a cooperation agreement with Ecole Polytechnique, one of the most selective French engineering schools, to foster and further consolidate their academic and educational relations with joint activities between the two establishments. And On Wednesday in Rabat, another cooperation agreement has been reached between the Euro-Mediterranean University and Paris-Sorbonne University in the fields of higher education, scientific research and culture.

This new bilateral cooperation aims at creating the Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Political Science.

The agreement was signed by Mostapha Bousmina, President of the UEMF and Jean-Marc Bonnisseau, Vice President of Paris-Sorbonne University in charge of international relations. The partnership agreement was reached under the supervision of Lahcen Daoudi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executives Training.

The pedagogical team of Euro-Mediterranean University and Paris-Sorbonne Department of Political Science are expected to ensure together the training. The Euro-Mediterranean partner institutions will also contribute to training courses.

According to Lahcen Daoudi, through this agreement, the Euro-Mediterranean University will acquire a wide range of courses and disciplines that will now include Social Science.

Starting from September 2016, the Euro-Mediterranean Institute for Political Science will open its doors after selecting the best candidates. Future students will obtain a dual degree both from the Euro-Mediterranean University and from Paris-Sorbonne University.
