Rabat – A delegation of Moroccan youth organized a round table at the United Nations themed ‘Youths and Climate Change: What are the economic opportunities?’ The event highlighted the participation of young people in climate adaptation procedures.
The event, ‘organized by youths for youth, is a part of Moroccan youths’ contributions to the UN Youth Program Delegate’, explained Soufiane Kadmiri, a member of delegation and co-founder of the Josoor Association.
Two main themes were debated during this event. First, “the importance of youths’ training in the deployment of environmental solutions” and second, “the role of youths in the new economic opportunities related to climate change, particularly in developing countries,” Kadmiri said.
Within the framework of promoting COP22, this round table was an occasion for delegates to shed light on this crucial event slated for November in Marrakech, as well as to express their support for young people representing 36 nations at UN Youth Program Delegate.
