Rabat – First-placed team in La Liga’s table, Barcelona, will face Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona, commonly known as RCD Espanyol, without its central midfielder, Andres Iniesta, due to injury.Â
The match is set to take place today in the Cornellà -El Prat stadium.
The 32-year-old player picked up an abductor injury, which prevented him from participating in Friday’s training session. Barcelona’s key forward, Neymar Santos, however, will return to defend his Catalan jersey after being sidelined by a three-match ban.
Rafael Alcantara, Aleix Vidal and Jeremy Mathieu will also miss today’s clash due to their injuries.
It is a must for Barcelona’s squad to win this game against Espanyol if they hope to put more pressure on rival, Real Madrid.
Barcelona is the first-placed team in la Liga’s table with 78 points.
