Rabat – French sportswear retailer Decathlon opened a new store in Tetouan on June 29 bringing the total number of its branches in Morocco to seven.
The store has a surface area of approximately 1,000 square meters, and features a space devoted to the practice of various physical activities.
Decathlon aims to draw the attention of northern Moroccan customers by providing them with affordable prices and good deals for sports products.
President of Decathlon Maroc, Borja Sanchez, said that the group desires to accelerate its development in the country as well as “make sports accessible to all, by providing women and men in Tetouan with sports products at affordable prices.”
The French brand also recently increased the surface area of its branch in Ain Sebaa, which was expanded to include five sports grounds, a walking course and a 2,500 square meter gym layout.
Decathlon aims to increase its visibility in Morocco by inaugurating more stores throughout the country, and has plans to open in Kenitra, Meknes and Agadir.
