Moroccan Police arrest four University Students For Kidnapping Security Official

Police Arrest Three Suspects for Alleged Kidnapping of 8-year old Boy in Fez

Rabat – The Regional Department of Judicial Police in Al Jadida arrested Thursday evening four students at the University of Chouaïb Doukkali on suspicion of involvement in kidnapping and detention of a public official, reported Maghreb Arab Press (MAP).

The communique, released by the General Directorate of National Security, stated that the suspected students had kidnapped a security officer from the street and “unlawfully restricted his freedom and detained him in a facility at the university’s campus.”

The communique explained that the police intervened and released the victim and arrested four suspects.

The same source added that a judicial investigation was opened under the supervision of the public prosecutor in order to determine the circumstances of the case, and to arrest anyone who is implicated in this criminal act.
