Rabat – After reports made the rounds that Chelsea FC is looking to let go of Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan international has taken English football club to the finals of the English FA Cup after scoring a morale-boosting goal against Manchester City on Saturday.
Ziyech secured a passing ticket for his club after scoring at the 55th minutes of play following a great assist from German forward Timo Werner.
It looks like the renowned Moroccan player is keeping his promise of fighting to rediscover his form and be an indispensable asset for Chelsea.
In an interview earlier this week, aired on the “Chelsea Unscripted podcast,” Ziyech said he was more than confident that he possesses the skills needed to help his team secure wins and trophies.
When asked about his underwhelming performances with Chelsea in the past few months, Ziyech attributed his current form to the injuries he has sustained since he joined the English club last summer. He also linked his insipid performances to the lack of playtime, especially under the new head coach Thomas Tuchel.
Yet, the Moroccan Atlas Lion is seemingly keeping a high and positive mindset, as he trusts his abilities to comeback stronger than ever to impress football enthusiasts as he did when playing for Ajax Amsterdam.
Ziyech joined Chelsea FC in July 2020 after signing a five year contract.
In mid-February, the 27-year-old player expressed his wishes to leave the English club this summer because of a lack of playtime and his inability to perform as highly as his earlier years, according to Corriere Dello Sport.
Ziyech had requested a meeting with club director Marina Granovskaia to discuss his options, the Italian paper reported at the time.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, several prominent Italian clubs are interested in recruiting Ziyech, including AS Roma, Juventus FC, and AC Milan.
