Rabat – Air Arabia Maroc has announced the launch of new air routes linking Morocco to Europe.

The announcement comes as part of the company’s decision to expand its network.

The new routes will include flights linking Casablanca and Geneva, Nador and the Netherlands’s Eindhoven, as well as Oujda and Spain’s Murcia.

The company said that the flights between Casablanca and Geneva will kick off on June 17. The company will serve the destination with two flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays.

For the Eindhoven-Nador flight, Air Arabia will serve the destination on Mondays and Fridays.

From June 18, Air Arabia Maroc will launch the Oujda-Murcia line with two flights per week scheduled for  Mondays and Fridays.

The company also announced a decision to serve new routes linking Marrakech-Barcelona.

Air Arabia Maroc will additionally launch new air routes linking Fez to Marseille and Malaga, and Oujda with Marseille, Toulouse and Paris.

The company will also serve new flights between Tangier and Bilbao, as well as Valence.

The company said that the new routes are part of its commitment to continue to strengthen its program of flights from Morocco.

The announcement of the new flights comes just a week after Morocco decided to resume international flights, starting June 15.

The announcement takes into account the positive indicators of the epidemiological situation in Morocco and the decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ June 6 statement.

The measure aims to facilitate the return of Moroccans residing abroad to their homeland.

“This operation will take place in accordance with an approach that combines gradual opening – taking into account the evolution of the national and international epidemiological situation – and preservation of the gains made by our country to curb the spread of the coronavirus,”the ministry explained.
