Rabat – Morocco’s Health Ministry announced a total of 69 new cases reported throughout the country as of November 14, bringing the total number of infections to 948,226 cases.
Active cases reached 3,471, and the fatality rate stands at 1.6%, with 3 new COVID-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the recovery rate slightly increased to 98.1% as 103 people recovered in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 930,012 recoveries.
9 new critical cases were admitted in the last 24 hours, with 4 patients receiving treatment under intubation, and 83 patients under non-invasive ventilation.
Regionally, health officials reported that the Casablanca-Settat region recorded 30 new COVID cases, making it the highest ranked region in terms of new cases. Rabat-Sale-Kenitra comes second with 22 new cases recorded, and Tangier-Tetouan-Al -Hoceima with 7 new cases.
The Southeast region of the country experienced a notable decrease in new COVID cases, with Laayoune, Sakia El-Hamra, Marrakech-Safi, Dakhla-Oued Eddahab registering only 1 new case each.
Fez-Meknes province also registered one new case.
Morocco’s health authorities indicated that the total number of fully vaccinated individuals in the country reached 22,393,250 people, while 24,360,793 of the population have been administered their first dose.
Morocco launched the administration of the third dose of vaccine on October 4. To date, 1,571,072 individuals have been administered the “booster shot.”
Morocco continues its vaccination campaign against the virus, and the government expects to vaccinate 80% of the population, or 33 million people by the end of the year.
