Rabat – Around 2,390,120 people received the COVID-19 booster doses in Morocco as of December 20, data from Morocco’s Health Ministry said.
The daily report on the COVID-19 situation in Morocco shows that people who are fully vaccinated with the first and second dose reached 22,843,009 to date.
Meanwhile, 24,501,405 people received only the first dose.
With regards to daily COVID cases, Morocco reported 102 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The total cases mounted to 952,916. Recoveries reached 936,597 after 147 people recovered.
One patient died of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. The death toll due to COVID-19 reached 14,810 since the outbreak of the pandemic in Morocco in March 2020.
The Health Ministry said that there are 1,509 active cases, including 97 patients in critical conditions. The country recorded 8,031 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours.
To date, Morocco registered 9,706,089 COVID-19 tests.
The recovery rate stands at 98.3% while the fatality rate is at 1.6%.
Rabat-Sale-Kenitra recorded the majority of cases in the past 24 hours followed by Marrakech-Safi (23 cases), Casablanca-Settat (20 cases) and one COVID-19 death.
