Villarreal and Real Betis are both keen to sign Romain Saiss in the upcoming summer transfer window, to bolster their respective squads.

Saiss’ contract with Wolverhampton expires next summer. The Moroccan will have to choose where to continue his career among several big European clubs that have already expressed an interest in him.

Villarreal and Real Betis are both interested in the Moroccan international and Atlas Lions captain, according to Todo Fichajes. Saiss is a versatile player who excels in both attack and central defense, making him a unique talent.

For at least two seasons, Betis has been attempting to acquire the Saiss‘ services. For the time being, the player has not made a decision, especially as French clubs such as Marseille and Lyon are also interested in him. Until the next market, the anticipation continues.

Trained at AS Valencia he signed his first professional contract in 2012 at Clermont Foot before joining Le Havre AC in 2013, Angers SCO in 2015.

The Moroccan international signed a four-year contract with British club Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2016, under a $4 million transfer.

Saiss was crowned champion of the Championship in the 2017-2018 season with the wolves and promoted to the Premier League for the 2018-19 season.

Due to his dual nationality, Saiss was eligible to play for both the Moroccan and French national teams. The versatile player chose to wear Morocco’s jersey and represent the national team in November 2012 in a friendly match between Morocco and Togo
