Casablanca – A Sahrawi refugee has denounced Polisario commander Brahim Ghali after an airstrike in the buffer zone near Bir Lahlou, begging “God to rid people” in Tindouf’s camps of the leader.

The verbal attack came after the airstrike targeted Moroccan forces on March 10, with outrage directed at Polisario commander Brahim Ghali, who has been heavily criticized for having “launched a war that he cannot afford” in Tindouf’s camps.

After Spain endorsed Morocco’s Sahara autonomy initiative in March, the Polisario Front did not know how to express its huge loss, resulting in the Bir Lahlou airstrike.

But following the attacks, a Sahrawi lady from the Lahmada camps in Tindouf launched a scathing verbal attack on  Polisario commander Brahim Ghali.

In an audiotape shared on Youtube, this Sahrawi refugee begs God to “bring them peace and get them out of their lengthy struggle,” referring to herself and others in the Sahrawi camps.

“He must know that he has never done anything good or positive to us,” she says flatly. For her, Brahim Ghali has declared a war he is unable to afford or win. He is snoozing in his secretary general’s chair, gorging himself on goat flesh and slipping from one tent to the next.

Despite the fact that the Sahrawis in Tindouf camps are well aware of the current diplomatic losses experienced by the Algeria-Polisario tandem, the Sahrawi refugee requests Polisario’s head to “let the world be at peace and the countries decide sovereignly what they want.”

Finally, she begged God to “soon rid them” of Brahim Ghali, who “starved the residents of the camps and delivered the others to drone attacks.”

In her fluent Hassani (the most widely spoken language in southern Morocco), this brave Sahrawi lady delivered a brief but powerful message, demonstrating how much misery people in the Tindouf camps face because of Brahim Ghali’s unreasonably belligerent attitude and Polisario supporters’ attachment to an impossible dream.
