Rabat – Low cost carrier Air Arabia Maroc will launch new air routes to connect Spain’s Seville with two Moroccan cities.

The carrier will launch the new direct lines from Casablanca and Tangier in June.

The company will operate Casablanca-Seville flights on Mondays and Thursdays.

Tangier-Seville flights will take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Earlier this  month, Air Arabia Maroc announced it will launch a new direct flight from Oujda to Malaga.

The company will launch the flights on June 26.

In addition, Air Arabia connected Oujda with four other European destinations, including Murcia, Barcelona, Marseille, and  Paris.

Air Arabia Maroc will also launch a new route connecting Nador in the Oriental region, with the Spanish capital Madrid.

The flight will open on June 23, with two frequencies  a week on Thursdays and Sundays.

The company serves the destination with its Airbus A320 aircraft.

Since the reopening of Morocco’s border on February 7, several local and international airlines have released their travel campaigns to boost international travel in the upcoming summer after two years marked by travel disruptions.

Morocco closed its borders in November 2021 amid concerns regarding the spread of the then unknown threat of the Omicron strain of the COVID-19 virus.

In February, Morocco decided to ease travel restrictions, opening doors for tourists who present a negative PCR test and proof of vaccination.

To date, Morocco reports significantly fewer COVID-19 compared to the last few months in 2021.

Morocco’s Health Ministry reports between 60 and 80 daily COVID-19 cases and less pandemic-related deaths.

Since March 2020, Morocco has recorded 1,164,567 COVID-19 cases, including 1,148,002, and 16,064 deaths.
