The Moroccan para-athlete Ayoub Sadni again clinched the gold medal after winning the 400m T47 race at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix held in Paris on Friday.
Having completed the race in 47.01 seconds, the Moroccan Paralympics champion succeeded in breaking his own world record, previously set at the 2020 Paralympics.
In the quick race, Sadni went at top speed, establishing a safe distance between him and his closest contestants.
With this latest achievement, the 23-year-old para-runner has further stressed Moroccan athletes’ remarkable presence in the para-athletics competitions in recent years.
But Sadni was not the only Moroccan of the moment at the international event. Azzedine Nouri, a Moroccan champion in the shot put (class F34), offered Morocco a silver medal with a throw of 10.81 meters.
Saida Amoudi, another Moroccan champion in the shot put (class F34), clinched the gold medal in the competition thanks to a throw of 8.07 meters.

The federation further noted that the Moroccan athletes had been preparing for the international event for months before it was due to kick off.
The Moroccan delegation that competed at the World Para Athletics Paris 2022 consisted of 15 people, including eight athletes, three coaches, and one assistant as well as the president and secretary-general of the Moroccan federation.
Since Morocco’s stellar participation in the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, Moroccan Paralympic athletes appear to have made it a habit of dazzling and catching the world’s attention when taking part in regional and global contests.
By winning 11 medals at this year’s Para Athletics Grand Prix, the Moroccan team has once again cemented its growing reputation in the sport, and has set what is now considered one of the greatest performances in the country’s history.
