Rabat – FC Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez expressed satisfaction with Moroccan international football player Abde Ezzalzouli’s performance progress.
Xavi made his remarks today during a conference today ahead of the Barcelona-Osasuna match.
The Atlas Lion, also known as Abde in Spanish football league La Liga, joined Osasuna on loan from FC Barcelona in September 2022.
“He has matured a lot we’re happy about the loan to Osasuna, he has gone to a very good team to progress in his career, mature and work,” Xavi said.
But the coach is still uncertain whether Barcelona is ready to keep Ezzalzouli when he returns from Osasuna.
“We’ll decide when the season ends,” Xavi said, emphasizing that Ezzalzouli’s success at Barcelona depends on his mentality.
“I see him as a great talent to succeed at Barca but it depends on his mentality,” Xavi concluded.
The coach made similar remarks at another press conference earlier this month.
Xavi made the remarks after Ezzalzouli’s astonishing performances during an Osasuna against Elche.
“Abde is making the most of his loan, he’s making a difference and we’re very happy with him. At Barca, you need players at that level,” the coach said, noting that the Atlas lion could be important for the club.
