Rabat – On Wednesday, LCI Education Foundation awarded the Jadara Foundation a MAD 1 Million grant aimed primarily at granting full scholarships to 16 Moroccan students.
According to a statement from LaSalle College, this grant will be used to offer college scholarships for students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree at the HEM Business & Engineering School and LaSalle College’s Moroccan branch in Casablanca.
The foundation’s grant guarantees several opportunities for Moroccan students, including 5 full tuition scholarships to HEM, 3 scholarships to LaSalle College, and 8 general scholarships to the most qualified candidates.
Originally founded in 2001 as the Moroccan Student Foundation (FME), Jadara Foundation’s original stated goal was to help young students from the Khayriates (EPS) pursue higher education.
In 2012, the Foundation introduced scholarship programs and has since focused on expanding services to widen impact and reach more students. Currently, the Foundation has 2400 beneficiaries, including 100 students that study abroad.
LCI Education is a Canadian Company that is involved in educating over 20,000 students each year. Boasting partnerships with schools across five continents, LCI Education describes itself as a network that connects 23 campuses and aspires to make students aware of the greater world.
Jadara Foundation’s grant aligns with LCI Education’s mission because it targets both a Moroccan and Canadian school. LaSalle College is originally based in Canada but has a location in Casablanca that is part of the LCI Education network.
By creating this partnership between themselves and the Jadara Foundation, LCI Education has shown that they are committed to their goal of educating students to bring their unique perspectives to the world and be able to see events on a global scale.
