Rabat – Ryanair has announced seven new routes from London, including a flight that will link the UK’s capital with Morocco’s Ouarzazate as part of its winter schedule.
The company’s CEO Michael O’Leary announced the news, expressing satisfaction with the new routes, as well as the increase of frequencies on 30 existing routes.
The new flights, according to Airways Magazine, will take off from London Gatwick Airport, Luton Airport, or Stansted Airport.
This will bring the total number of routes from London to 162.
“Ryanair is pleased to add seven new routes this winter from London to Belfast, Basel, Poprad, Ouarzazate, Teviso, and Vigo, as well as increased frequencies on another 30 winter sun and city break routes,” he said.
Ouarzazate is one of Morocco’s most popular tourism destinations, attracting both local and international visitors thanks to its long warm season, landscape, and architecture.
The city also attracts thousands of film productions, including from Hollywood.
The Gladiator 2 crew started filming the long-awaited sequel in Ouarzazate earlier this year.
The Gladiator’s first chapter was also filmed in the city, which was also home to other movies and series, including the Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia.
