Rabat – In a hard-fought battle at the Arena Burgas in Bulgaria today, Moroccan kickboxer Badr Hari faced a tough defeat against Estonian fighter Uku Jurjendal in the GLORY 89 Grand Prix Qualifier.
Jurjendal dominated the fight, dropping the two-time world champion four times within the initial two rounds of the match.
Hari showed resilience throughout the three rounds of the fight but was unable to defeat Jurjendal.
Despite Hari’s formidable experience in the ring, Jurjendal’s resilience and strategic approach led to a decisive victory, denying Hari a spot in the prestigious GLORY Grand Prix.
Hari’s recent loss adds to a series of defeats he has sustained in the past years, totaling 17 losses out of over 123 fights.
In 2022, Hari hinted at retirement, sharing with fans that he was contemplating stepping away from kickboxing.
However, he later expressed a desire to make a comeback, leaving fans eager to see how he rebounds and reclaims his position in the sport.
Hari’s latest win dates back to 2018 when he defeated Dutch kickboxer Hesdy Gerges.
Hari was originally scheduled to play against Jame McSweeney on September 9 but forfeited due to the tragic earthquake that hit central Morocco a day prior.
The chosen beneficiaries of the donation are the “Morocco High Atlas Earthquake Relief Fund” and “Yallah Nette3awnou,” two charitable organizations dedicated to providing relief to those in need.
