Rabat – The Palestinian death toll has jumped to reach over 19,000 victims in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

The latest updated death toll shows that Israeli occupation forces killed at least 18,787 people in Gaza.

The number of wounded victims also increased to nearly 51,000 people.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have killed 297 people, while 3,365 have been injured.

Israeli occupation forces have been targeting civilians across the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including at schools, hospitals, worship sites, and shelters.

The relentless attacks across the region have forced healthcare workers and Palestinians to bury victims in improvised graveyards.

“Scores of bodies are also reported to be buried under the rubble of destroyed infrastructure that rescue officials and residents have not been able to get to,” Al Jazeera reported.

On Saturday, Israeli occupation forces used bulldozers to attack shelter tents in the yard of Kamal Adwan Hospital, where dozens have been crushed alive.

Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila called for an “urgent” probe to investigate the situation.

“People were buried alive using bulldozers. Who could do that? All those who committed this crime should be brought to justice and taken to the International Criminal Court,” a witness told Al Jazeera.

In addition to the massacre in Gaza’s Kamal Al Adwan hospital, Al Shifa Hospital – the largest health facility in the region is also facing a devastating situation due to the collapse of the healthcare system.

“WHO staff said that the emergency department is so full that care must be exercised to not step on patients on the floor,” the UN agency wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

It added that patients with traumatic injuries were being sutured on the floor, and that limited to no pain management is available at the hospital.

The hospital has been frequently targeted by Israeli occupation forces since October 7, when tens of thousands of civilians have been using the facilities.
