Rabat – Morocco’s domestic demand will drive economic activity with a projected growth of 4.2% in 2025, according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP).
This momentum follows an estimated increase of 4.9% in 2024, reinforcing its role as a central pillar of the country’s economic expansion.
The HCP’s forecast indicates that this growth in demand will add 4.6 points to Morocco’s GDP growth in 2025, compared to 5.3 points in 2024.
The report also points to household consumption as a key factor, which is expected to grow by 3% in 2025, slightly below the 3.2% increase in 2024.
This steady rise reflects controlled inflation, salary adjustments under social dialogue agreements, strong remittances from Moroccans abroad, and direct social aid programs that continue to bolster purchasing power.

Moreover, household consumption is expected to contribute around 1.8 points to GDP growth in 2024 and 2025.
Public administration consumption will likely follow a similar upward trend, with an increase of 4.1% in 2025, compared to 3.9% in 2024.
Together, these elements will push national consumption to rise by 3.3% in 2025, after an estimated 3.4% growth in 2024.
The HCP report also notes the role of investments in sustaining economic growth. The recovery in gross investment, which began in 2023, reflects ongoing infrastructure projects, government policies favoring capital expenditures, preparations for international events, and foreign direct investment inflows.
Gross investment is projected to grow by 6.7% in 2025, following a 9.1% rise in 2024, contributing 2 points to GDP growth.
These investments, coupled with steady domestic demand push Morocco’s efforts to maintain stable and inclusive economic progress.
