Marrakech – Morocco “is able” to host the football World Cup, president of FIFA Gianni Infantino said on Sunday.
“Morocco can host the football World Cup thanks to its infrastructures and its organizational capacity,” Infantino said at a press conference.
FIFA is satisfied with the real progress made in the current projects of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the FRMF said in a statement, adding that Infantino hailed actions undertaken by FRMF in the areas of infrastructures, training and governance.
Infantino attended on Saturday in Marrakech the World Cup qualifier match between Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire.
