Raba- The turnover of the Offshoring sector reached 7.3 billion dirhams in 2012, while jobs in the sector, all segments combined, are estimated at 57 000, said the Ministry of Industry, trade and new technologies.
Nearly 90 companies, including a range of international benchmark, are already installed in the integrated industrial platforms, six years after the launch of the strategy of development of this niche, the ministry said in a statement.
According to the same source, a national training plan for the offshoring sector was developed in addition to the launch of specific initiatives to meet the urgent needs of companies in the sector.
In order to maintain the competitiveness of Morocco, a study on the evaluation of the implementation of the offshoring strategy was launched to update the strategy in the light of changes at the international and national levels.
The aim is to achieve a turnover in export of 20 billion dirhams by 2015 through the creation of 70,000 jobs during the period 2009-2015, and to almost 100,000 jobs in the long term.
