Taroudant – This morning in Zagora, Security forces intervened violently to prevent friends and relatives of the victims of the tragic buss crush from expressing their solidarity with the families of the victims of the disaster of “Tizi N’Tichka” and to voice their anger about the dire situation of the infrastructure of the road linking Zagora with the other regions of the kingdom.
The tent was the symbol of solidarity of the local population with mass casualties brought by this tragic accident.
The initiative came from the Zagora branch of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights to install what they call “the black tent for mourning and solidarity with the families of the victims.”
Ibrahim Rizqo, the head of Zagora branch of Moroccan Association for Human Rights, told MWN that they “erected a black tent in Zagora as a symbol of our solidarity with the families of the victims and to pay tribute to the deceased. To our utter dismay, we were forced to evacuate the tent by Security forces without any prior notice and the tent was confiscated by the authorities.”
Rizqo added that “three days mourning was announced from the black tent and a committee was formed to offer condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.”
