The speaker of the Spanish Senate highlighted, Wednesday in Rabat, the importance of the Moroccan-Spanish security cooperation.
“Security cooperation between the two countries (Spain and Morocco) is very important,” Pio Garcia Escudero Marquez told MAP on the sidelines of a Moroccan-Spanish parliamentary forum.
Escudero Marquez also called for setting up a security policy, which would bring together the largest number of countries, in order to address today’s security challenges.
On the economic crisis in Spain and its impact on the Moroccan migrants, she pointed out that the Moroccans living in Spain are entitled, just like Spaniards, to aid to mitigate the effects of the economic crisis striking the country.
The Moroccan and Spanish MPs discussed, in the panel on security and politics, the security challenges facing the two countries.
