Royal Air Maroc announced today that it will be cancelling a series of flights to and from Brussels due to a strike in the Belgian capital on Thursday.

The flights concerned include AT830, AT637, AT636, and AT831.

“We offer several solutions to our valued customers affected by these cancellations,” Royal Air Maroc said, calling on its customers to check its website for more information.

The airline also called on customers affected by the cancellations to not flock to airports and to contact their initial points of sale.

Customers can also call RAM call centers to “take advantage of the arrangements mentioned at the link above,” the airline concluded.

The website Brussels Times reported earlier today that a joint trade union front organized today’s strike.

“No flights will take off or land in Belgium on Thursday 13 February. A national strike is being organised by the joint trade union front on this day, causing major disruption,” the news outlet said.

Serious disruptions are expected in the transportation sector among other industries, according to converging reports.

Ten of thousands of people from the public and private sectors are expected to participate in the strike, noted the Brussels Times report.

Over  60,000 people will likely take part in a demonstration in Brussels, which will result in halting several services.
