Rabat – A French-Algerian social media influencer, known as Abu Zayd, has caused outrage online after posting videos on TikTok containing violent and antisemitic statements targeting Moroccans and France’s Jewish community. The videos quickly drew criticism, with many viewers calling on French authorities to intervene.

In one of the videos, Abu Zayd said, “It’s not about a defense plan, we need to finish these people. We need to finish them to the bone. They are poison, right down to the bone.”

In the videos, Abu Zayd repeatedly showed his son’s Moroccan passport and denounced it, calling it “garbage” and saying, “he doesn’t need it. I’m going to burn it.”

He said that his son prefers Algeria and that he would never go to Morocco, and that his son has a French passport and will only identify as French.

The influencer’s statements included explicit calls for violence. He said, “In France, it’s a Zionist country and we know who they are… it’s necessary to unite, and anyone who doesn’t want to unite is considered a Zionist… we must eliminate all opponents.”

He described his plan as an “attack plan, not a defensive plan,” and repeatedly urged action against ‘threats’ to mosques and communities.

Algerian political analyst Oualid Kebir shared on X a letter he addressed to the French Minister of the Interior, describing Abu Zayd’s posts as “calls to track down Jewish people and Moroccan nationals in France and eliminate them, under the pretext of defending mosques, particularly the Grand Mosque of Paris.”

He called for an urgent investigation and requested the immediate removal of the videos and suspension of Abu Zayd’s TikTok account.

Kebir noted the seriousness of the statements, saying that they constitute incitement to racial and religious hatred, public calls for violence, threats against communities and places of worship, and a clear danger to public safety. He urged authorities to implement protection measures for the targeted communities.

The videos have ignited widespread anger on social media, with many calling for strict legal action against the influencer.
