Rabat – Rabat hosted today a workshop on Morocco’s investment policies, organized by JCI Rabat in partnership with Centre Culturel Iklyle as part of their “Road To” project.

The workshop featured speaker Zakaria Touhami, an ENA graduate and expert in investment project support and follow-up. The session focused on Morocco’s current investment landscape, recent reforms, and future opportunities for investors.

During the event, Touhami explained the ongoing work by the Ministry of Investment and described the steps investors need to follow to access Morocco’s financial markets. He also detailed the practical processes and support mechanisms available for both local and foreign investors.

According to Aicha Chair, a member of ICJ Rabat, the event was an opportunity for the guest speaker to “explain more about the policies and investment frameworks in Morocco, as well as the process that an investor can follow to invest in the financial markets.”

The workshop also provided an overview of the New Investment Charter, which aims to simplify procedures for investors and offer financial incentives. This charter is designed to encourage investment in key sectors such as industry, renewable energy, and technology.

Touhami highlighted the roles of Morocco’s Regional Investment Centers (CRI) and the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) in guiding and supporting investors throughout the process.

The CRI offices, which are located across Morocco’s regions, act as a “one-stop shop” for investors. They provide guidance, help process administrative procedures, and offer information about local opportunities.

Their main goal is to make it easier and faster for entrepreneurs and companies to start and grow their projects.

Participants had the chance to ask questions and gain practical advice on how to navigate this investment system in Morocco.

AMDIE, on the other hand, works at the national level to promote Morocco as an attractive destination for investment and exports. The agency helps connect local businesses with international partners, organizes investment events, and supports foreign companies looking to enter the Moroccan market.

AMDIE also plays an important role in implementing the New Investment Charter by encouraging projects that align with Morocco’s development priorities, such as renewable energy, industrial growth, and job creation.

Participants, including students, young professionals, and entrepreneurs, had the chance to ask questions and gain practical advice on how to navigate this investment system in Morocco.

According to the organizers, the session was a valuable opportunity to better understand the country’s economic priorities, reforms, and investment prospects.

By bringing together experts and young professionals, the workshop successfully created a platform for learning, discussion, and networking, emphasizing Morocco’s commitment to fostering a supportive investment environment.
