Rabat – An Israeli air raid on the Jabalia refugee camp in Northern Gaza has left at least 100 dead and 300 injured, according to medical officials in the besieged Palestinian enclave.
Footage and pictures shared from the camp site showed several residential buildings completely flattened, with rescue workers and civilians trying to extract survivors from beneath the rubble.
“The last number I got was about 100 killed and 300 injured. There is absolutely no doubt that this is a mass murder. The hospital system in Gaza cannot accommodate 300 new injuries,” pro-Palestinian activist Mads Gilbert said.
The camp is located near the city of Jabalia in Northern Gaza, and houses over 100,000 Palestinian refugees according to figures from UNRWA.
This is not the first time that Israel has attacked this particular camp during its latest, murderous offensive on Gaza. The occupation forces attacked the camp several times since Israel started its ongoing offensive in the besieged region.
Israel has relentlessly bombarded the Gaza Strip over the past three weeks, targeting civilian and medical sites, and killing over 8,500 people so far. According to Palestinian authorities, over 3,500 of the murdered Palestinians are children.
The Israeli occupation forces have intensified their blockade of Gaza since October 7, cutting access to vital resources such as water, food, and fuel.
Israeli forces also stepped up their ground operations last week, attempting an incursion into Gaza with tanks and infantry.
