Wydad AC have ended their poor run of results with an important 2-0 win over COD Meknes in the 19th round of the Botola Pro.

The Reds entered the match with a clear intent to get back on track, creating several chances before opening the scoring in the 25th minute. The first goal came from a perfectly executed direct free-kick by Hakim Ziyech, giving Wydad the advantage they were pushing for from the start.

Before the break, Hakim Ziyech doubled Wydad’s lead from the penalty spot, taking full control of the game and heading into half-time in a strong position.

In the second half, coach Mohammed Benchrifa made several changes to rest key players ahead of the upcoming derby against Raja Casablanca, while the team maintained control until the final whistle.

With this result, Wydad moved up to fourth place with 34 points, while COD Meknès remained seventh on 27 points. More importantly, the Reds finally ended their poor run of form and got their season back on track ahead of a crucial clash next Saturday night.
