Fez – Maroc Telecom received an award at the Brand Africa 100 – Morocco’s Most Admired Brands 2026 ceremony, where several Moroccan companies and marketing professionals were recognized based on a survey conducted across African countries.

The telecommunications operator was named “Most Admired Pan-African Brand Contributing to a Better Africa.”

The recognition was announced during the latest edition of Brand Africa 100, an annual study that measures public perceptions of brands across the continent.

According to Brand Africa, the survey covered 31 African countries representing more than 85% of the continent’s population and gross domestic product.

In Morocco, participants were asked to name brands they admire without being provided with a predefined list.

Maroc Telecom said it serves more than 76 million customers as of March 2026 and operates in 11 African countries, including Morocco, through its Moov Africa subsidiaries.

The company reported revenues of MAD 36.7 billion ($3.6 billion) in 2025 and said its investments represented 25.6% of annual revenue, with spending focused on fiber optics, mobile broadband, and digital infrastructure.

The Brand Africa rankings also recognized other Moroccan companies across several sectors.

Fashion retailer Marwa was named the most admired Moroccan brand, while Inwi received the award for the Moroccan brand considered to contribute the most to a better Africa.

Other companies recognized in sector categories included Centrale Danone in food and agriculture, Attijariwafa Bank in financial services, Marjane in retail, Afriquia in energy and mobility, Royal Air Maroc in transport, and Sothema in pharmaceuticals.

The 2026 edition also introduced a ranking of the 100 most influential chief marketing officers in Africa.

Seven Moroccan professionals were included in the inaugural list.

According to Brand Africa, Moroccan brands accounted for 23% of the country’s Top 100 ranking, above the continental average of 15%.

More than 150,000 brand mentions were analyzed as part of this year’s study.

Brand Africa presents its rankings annually as an indicator of brand perception and consumer recognition across African markets.
