Meknes – The Moroccan national team is putting the final touches on its preparations for Thursday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-final against France. The Atlas Lions return to the training pitch today, fully focused on securing a spot in the semi-finals.

The team will hold a training session this evening, which will be partially open to the media. Journalists will get a firsthand look at the squad’s fitness and preparation ahead of the big match.

Following the training session, the coaching staff and players will meet with the press to answer questions starting at 5:00 PM local time in Boston (10:00 PM in Morocco).

Morocco secured their spot in the quarter-finals with a dominant 3-0 win over Canada in Houston, thanks to a second-half double from Azzedine Ounahi and a late goal by Soufiane Rahimi.

The Atlas Lions will now look to carry that winning momentum into their highly anticipated quarter-final clash against France, scheduled for this Thursday at 9:00 PM Moroccan time at Boston Stadium.

This match sets up a thrilling rematch of the 2022 World Cup semi-finals, which ended in a hard-fought 2-0 win for France.

Morocco’s success on Thursday may depend heavily on the squad’s physical fitness. While the technical staff remains optimistic, team doctors are racing against the clock to ensure midfielder Ismael Saibari can shake off his minor hamstring strain in time for the big match.
