Rabat – Air Arabia Maroc’s new route connecting Nador in the Oriental region to Spain’s capital, Madrid, became operational on Thursday.
The low-cost airline announced plans to launch the new route in April.
The flight will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.
Customers are now able to book their flight on the airline’s website or by calling its call center. Passengers can also book their flights through authorized travel agencies.
The Madrid-Nador flight serves as another route that links the Spanish capital to Morocco’s Tangier.
From Barcelona, Air Arabia operates five routes to Morocco, namely Fez, Tangier, Nador, Casablanca, and Oujda.
Air Arabia has also said it will begin a new direct flight from Oujda to Malaga on June 26. The flights will be performed by an Airbus A320 every Friday and Sunday.
Air Arabia Maroc also links Oujda to four other European destinations; France, Italy, Spain, and Belgium.
Air Arabia Maroc is a Moroccan low-cost airline jointly founded by a group of Moroccan investors and the UAE’s Air Arabia.
Air Arabia’s flights between Morocco and Spain will come as good news for the Moroccan diaspora residing in the European country.
