Rabat – Morocco’s Raja CA lost 1-3 to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr in the quarter-final of the Arab Club Champions Cup on Sunday at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr dominated the match early, with Cristiano Ronaldo netting the first goal in the 19th minute. Al-Nassr’s right back, Sultan Al-Ghannam, followed soon after, scoring a second goal for his team in the 29th minute.

Midfielder Seko Fofana, who recently arrived from French club Lens, further cemented his team’s chances of winning with a third goal in the 38th minute.

Meanwhile, Raja was able to score their first goal in the 44th minute delivered by Al Nassr’s own defender Abdullah Madu.

Al-Nassr has experienced a complete transformation since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the team. The Saudi club managed to secure two draws and one victory, earning a spot in the knockout stages of the Arab Club Champions Cup, and finishing just behind their rival team, Al-Shabab.

Ronaldo, in his three games, has scored two goals, showcasing his impact on the team’s performance.

The Moroccan club, which holds a prominent position among Africa’s most renowned football clubs, had a rather disappointing season in the Botola, Morocco’s top-tier football league.

Prior to the Sunday match, Raja CA was riding a successful wave, having won three consecutive matches in the competition, and finishing the group stage with a perfect nine points.
