Rabat – The death toll in Gaza continues to rise dramatically, with Palestinian health officials reporting that over 33,686 individuals have been killed and more than 76,309 wounded in Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) aggression since October 7.
The Gaza Health Ministry revealed that within the last 24 hours alone, 52 people lost their lives, and 95 were injured.
Tragically, some victims remain buried beneath rubble or strewn across roads, as access for emergency services is hampered by IOF restrictions.
In addition to the devastating toll in Gaza, three Palestinians were killed during confrontations with Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Airstrikes and bombardments persist in northern Gaza, Khan Younis, and Rafah, regions where the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) estimates 1.2 million people reside, many in shelters both formal and makeshift.
The latest Gaza Humanitarian Access Snapshot, released by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), underscores the gravity of the crisis.
The report, covering March 2024, paints a grim picture of relentless hostilities and mounting challenges in delivering critical aid and services.
According to the report, Gaza teeters on the brink of famine, with half of its population—1.1 million people—facing catastrophic food insecurity due to the unyielding conflict and severe constraints on humanitarian access.
