The meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU), scheduled Saturday in Rabat, will give concrete substance to the dynamic under way on the path of Maghreb integration, French Ministry for Foreign Affairs said on Friday.
The Maghreb is considerably progressing for few weeks now on the path of regional integration and the Rabat meeting means that this dynamic is under way, the Ministry’s spokesperson Bernard Valero said.
This is good news for the region and for Europe, he added at a press briefing.
According to him, the issue of Maghreb integration will be discussed, next Monday in Rome, on the occasion of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Euro-Mediterranean group “5+5”.
