Morocco-Spain high-level bilateral meeting, which will be held on Wednesday in Rabat, will raise bilateral relations to a new level in phase with the vision of HM King Mohammed VI and the shared ambitions of the two countries, said deputy Foreign Minister Youssef Amrani.
This 10th high-level meeting will draw an ambitious roadmap, in accordance with the course set by the Sovereign in the royal speech on the occasion of the Feast of the Throne in which HM the King reiterated the commitment of the Kingdom to promoting the emergence of new economic conditions favourable to joint wealth creating, giving a concrete expression to the profound links of active solidarity between the two countries, Youssef Amrani told MAP news agency.
He added that that the participation of more than half of the Spanish government members in the high-level bilateral meeting reflects the great interest of Spain to consolidate and deepen the partnership with Morocco.
This tenth meeting, he said, aims to give greater impetus to bilateral relations, in order to best take advantage of the complementarities between the two countries, business opportunities and large positive prospects available to them, with the aim to further deepen political dialogue, to strengthen the economic partnership and expand cultural, social and human cooperation, particularly regarding the situation of the Moroccan community in Spain.
The high-level bilateral meeting, co-chaired by two Heads of Governments, Abdelilah Benkirane and Mariano Rajoy, takes place in a context marked by a regional economic and financial crisis in Europe and political changes in the Maghreb, which are also bringing new opportunities, he stressed.
He added that a business forum, organised by employers’ associations of the two countries, will be held in the sidelines of the meeting.
