Morocco’s minister-delegate for foreign affairs and Cooperation, Youssef Amrani expressed Friday Morocco’s support to the peace process between the Colombian government and the FARC guerilla.
Morocco supports “peace efforts by president Manuel Santos to reach a peaceful solution to this problem”, said Amrani in an interview with Colombian radio station RCN.
Amrani who is visiting Colombia, part of a Latin America tour, said the peace process is an important step toward the consolidation of common security in the region and in other countries.
The official also warned that war between the two Koreas could entail a conflict not only in the region but in the whole world.
Of the Middle east, Amrani reiterated Palestine’s right to an internationally-recognized state, stressing that the US president’s recent visit to the region “was a positive message to the region because the diplomatic and peaceful approach will always be the best solution to any conflict”
