Madrid  –  King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain visited, on Wednesday, the Moroccan stand in Madrid’s International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2015).

The Spanish King and Queen were received in the Moroccan stand by Tourism Minister Lahcen Haddad and Morocco’s Ambassador to Spain Mohamed Fadel and Director General of the national tourism promotion office (ONMT) Abderrafie Zouiten.

On this occasion, the King and Queen of Spain were offered a present under the form of Moroccan handicrafts and a book on a traditional festival held in the southern city of Tan Tan.

Morocco is represented in the 35th edition of the fair by the ONMT and other tourism operators from across the Kingdom.

FITUR, a leading event that brings leading operators in the tourist industry, features stands representing 160 countries and runs from January 28 to February 1.

Stretching over 400 square meters, the Moroccan stand is one of the biggest in the event showcasing the diversity of the Moroccan destination.
