Rabat- On Saturday, at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Japanese fans did something unexpected and classy after their team’s loss: they reportedly cleaned off their seats at Arena Pernambuco, Recife.
Photographs have emerged of this beautiful move by Japanese football fans after their national team’s 2-1 loss to Cote d’Ivoire.
This show of fair play and goodwill, despite their team’s loss, demonstrates the true objectives of sports. They showed that whether your team wins or loses, fans should not react emotionally and resort to vandalism and violence.
The pictures were widely circulated on social media with positive reactions, setting an example to football fans around the world.
