Rabat – Moroccan actor Said Taghmaoui clashed with French rapper Booba on social media, after Booba made an offensive statement on Instagram about those who have expressed support for the Palestinians since the start of Israel’s most recent onslaught against the Gaza Strip.
As the Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip began, messages of support to Palestine flooded the web. But French rapper Booba found this social media flood annoying and harshly criticized those who support Palestine.
Booba created stir on his account Instagram by posting an offensive message to Palestine supporters on social media.
“To all those who believe in helping Palestine with posts on Instagram, Facebook, etc., you really are a bunch of hypocrites. No politics here. If you want to help Palestine, go to the conflicts field,or otherwise close your mouth forever,”Booba’s message said.

Attacking Booba, Said Taghmaoui described the French rapper on his Twitter account as a”dirty son of a coward” who“stinks of defeat.”
On July 13, Tariq Ramadan, Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at the Oxford University, also attacked Booba on his FaceBook page, call him a “hypocrite.”
“Very brave, indeed Booba! But who is hypocritical, the supporters or Booba himself? He says that he is not into politics while taking a very political decision not only to keep quiet about the massacre but to prohibit others supporting the oppressed Palestinians? Hypocritical, indeed, and shameful,” wrote Tariq Ramadan.
