Paris – Zainab Ghazioui, a Moroccan journalist at Charlie Hebdo said that the attack on the French satirical weekly magazine was “arranged” and “thoughtful”.
Speaking to news website Alyoum24, the Moroccan journalist said that the perpetrators of the attack that claimed the lives of 12 people, including members of the magazine’s senior staff, apparently knew that the editorial board meeting is taking place on Wednesdays.
Ghazioui, who is currently in Casablanca, added that if the shooters had chosen to attack the magazine another day, they would only find three to four people inside Charlie Hebdo’s Paris offices.
She said that among those gunned down is Stephane Charbonnier, known by his pen name Charb, who was the editor of Charlie Hebdo.
The terrorists who attacked the headquarters of French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo are supposedly affiliated with Al Qaeda.
According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists told bystanders in the street to inform the media that they were members of Al Qaeda in Yemen before carrying out their attack on Charlie Hebdo.
