Rabat – Tempo Money Transfer and UK-based remittances provider Dirham Express have successfully completed a collaborative project, whereby its completion now enables clients to send money from Tempo’s service locations in Europe and receive it in one of over 2,600 payment locations, in Morocco, where Dirham Express services are available.

The UK-based company works in all cities of the country, through such solid financial institutions as BMCE Bank, Al Barid Bank (La Poste) and Barid Cash.

Money transfers are available in both cash-to-cash and cash-to-account modes. ? leader in the money remittance business, with a vast and expanding global network, the UK-headquartered company has its customer service departments based in Rabat and Casablanca. This, the partners believe, will be an added benefit, to ensure the meticulous standards of remittances services in Morocco, are met.

“We realise how rapid the demand for high quality money transfers is growing in the Kingdom of Morocco, and in Africa in general,” said Tempo’s President, Mr. Jeffrey Phaneuf, before confirming Tempo’s alliance with market contender ‘Dirham Express’, which he asserts, will significantly enhance Tempo’s position in Africa, where Tempo Money Transfers is stepping up its activities.

“Our service is aimed at increasing audience. The key clients are Moroccans living abroad, whom we want to provide with efficient and secure money transfer payments, allowing senders and beneficiaries to send and receive funds in real time,” says Mr. Rafael Lopez, Dirham Express Wholesales Manager.

The two companies believe their co-operative venture will make fast progress and reach a lofty client portfolio and financial indicators in the short term.

Tempo Money Transfer services are now available in 29 states across Africa. Some countries housing a copious number of service locations.

In Cameroon, cash-to-account services are available in over 680 locations, in Senegal, 550, and in Guinea Conakry, where clients can collect cash, sent through Tempo Money Transfer, in 80 locations.
