Rabat – After the performances given by Arab and foreign Stars – Kadim Al Sahir, Chris Brown, Diana Haddad, and Rokia Traoré – the Eastern Stage of the Mawazin festival hosted the Lebanese star, Myriam Fares, last night.
At first, Myriam Fares appeared in a luxurious white dress and carried signs “Nidae Sawt El Hassan,” the symbolic song of the Green March. Afterwards, she received the Moroccan flag and wrapped it around her shoulders and continued singing. The audience was delighted and sang together the Moroccan national anthem.
“I have been attached to this country, its land, and its people since the first time I set foot here,” Myriam said to the crowd, referring to “the stability of the kingdom and the peace that prevails.”

The Lebanese star sang in several dialects of the Arab world, which reflected the diversity of her repertoire; “Kifak Enta,” “Khalani,” “Waheshni Eh,” and “Mashi Brahtak.”“With my band, we like to sing in several musical styles and honor different cultures,” she added later.
As expected, the song “Tlah” arrived just before the first break of the concert. The song in Darija revived the public energy, and that reached its peak when a Gnaoua folklore troupe joined Myriam on the stage. The singer then took few minutes to disappear to change her dress.
Lastly, Myriam Fares sang the Moroccan song “Elash ya Ghezali,” by Fathallah Lamghari, and the public was enthralled.
Myriam certainly did perform well by giving a concert without faults and not forgetting to interact with the Moroccan audience to ensure a good ambiance.
