Rabat – Minister of Equipment, Transportation and Logistics Aziz Rabbah met, on Thursday in Rabat, with Transportation Minister of the Libyan national unity government Milad Mohamed Maâtoug, on means to boost bilateral cooperation, notably in the transportation and infrastructure sectors.

The visit of Libyan official, along with a delegation (Aug. 3-5), is meant to give a new impetus to relations uniting Morocco and Libya in various sectors, mainly air and sea transportation and infrastructure, said Rabbah in a press statement following the meeting.

The Libyan Minister expressed his country’s gratitude to the Kingdom for efforts to reach an agreement between the Libyan parties in Skhirat, and said that his country is keen to spur bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic, logistic and air and sea transportation sectors, Rabbah underlined, noting that the Libyan officials expressed their wish to resume flights between the two countries.

Maâtoug hailed the historic position and role played by Morocco towards the Libyan people, stressing the shared viewpoints by the two countries in terms of strategic economic choices.

He also called on Moroccan companies to take interest in the promising Libyan market.
