Tetouan – A team of Moroccan engineers from the National School of Applied Sciences (ENSA) of Tetouan won the first and second prizes, as well as the prize for best design at the 27th International Design Contest (IDC) Robocon 2016 in Bangkok, said ENSA in a statement on Friday.

Present for the third time in this international scientific event, held on 8-20 August, Morocco was represented by three candidates in mechatronics, namely Saber Abdelhai, Hajar Benzeroual and Anas Boutghassa, under the supervision of professor Alia Zkirti, who demonstrated a high level of scientific performance.

The theme for this edition is the manufacture of two robots with a mission to help the sick and elderly take their medication.

The meeting was also an opportunity for participants to exchange their scientific and technological knowledge, cultures and talents.
