Casablanca – ISIS has released a new video showing two captured Turkish soldiers in military uniforms being burned alive.

The 19 minute video shows two Turkish soldiers inside a cage as an ISIS representative speaks Turkish, condemning Turkish military interventions in the affairs of Syria and Iraq. The two purported soldiers then are dragged and chained before the ISIS militant set them on fire.

The video, allegedly shot when ISIS had control of “Aleppo Province,” shows the executioner attacking Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, predicting  “destruction to be sowed” in Turkey.

The murdered Turkish soldiers have been identified as Fathy Shahin and Sefter Tash. Shahin states in the video that he came from the Turkish city of Konya and worked in border intelligence guard. Tash, aged 21, worked in Mehmet Outpost at the Syrian border.

Soon after its release, the footage was reportedly blocked on social media. According to Aljazeera.com, a Turkish website that seeks to “identify and validate reports of Internet mass-censorship events,” announced that Turkish users were prevented from accessing YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

“The blocks each appear to be implemented at the ISP level, with each provider applying its own controls, hence some users may be partly or fully unaffected,” the website reported, noting that this is the second internet shutdown this week, the first instance following the assassination of the Russian ambassador in Turkey.

The incident is reminiscent of the atrocious killing of Jordanian pilot, Moaz al-Kassasbeh, in February 2015 after his capture by ISIS. That execution caused an international uproar as it was the first time ISIS burned one of its captives alive.
