Join on Telegram Casablanca — The renown plastic artist and painter Abdellatif Zine passed away on Tuesday in Mohammedia at the age of 76.
Zine, who was born in 1940 in Marrakech, had an amazing career in the arts. A graduate of L’Ecole des Beaux Arts of Casablanca and L’Ecole National Supérieur des Beaux Arts in Paris, Zine went on to make a name of himself as has had his work exhibited internationally since 1960. He has also founded and presided over a variety of artist unions in Morocco, in an effort to help other budding Moroccan artists.
His funeral was held on Wednesday at the Casablanca Achouhada Cemetery.
