Ivorian Tidjanes Pay Tribute to King Mohammed VI for Promoting Tolerant Islam

Abidja – The Federal Council of Tidjanes in Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday paid a heartfelt tribute to King Mohammed VI for His role in promoting peace and stability in the world.

During a religious ceremony gathering several imams and followers of the Tidjaniya in the Malick Konaté mosque, prayers were raised to the Almighty to grant a long life to King Mohammed VI and to assist the Sovereign in his blessed efforts for peace and the promotion of the noble values of moderate Islam.

In a special address, the President of the Council, Sheikh Younouss Touré, welcomed King Mohammed VI and wished him a blessed visit to Côte d’Ivoire, noting that through this ceremony, the Tidjans pay a vibrant tribute to the King, “this great man and tireless actor of peace in the world”.

“If this council exists today, it is thanks to the recommendations of the Sovereign and his will to see the Tidjanes better organized throughout the world, in strong institutions, in order to defend and propagate the noble, moral and ethical values of an “Islam of tolerance and peace”, he said.
