Morocco Takes Part in 7th Annual Investment Forum in Dubai

The 7th annual Investment Forum is underway with the participation of a various government officials, investors and businessmen representing about 140 countries, including Morocco. The event kicked off on Sunday in Dubai.

The three-day Forum, organized by the Emirati Ministry of Economics, will analyze the prospects for international investment development, with a focus on the importance of foreign direct investment in economies.

The forum, operating under the theme “Foreign Investment: Competition and Development,”is an important platform for dialogue and exchange on economic experience and expertise.

Morocco is taking part in this forum with a booth set up and equipped by the Moroccan Investment Promotion Agency.In addition, there is also a delegation composed of economic actors, representatives of regional investment centers, economic and social development agencies, and different governmental and elected bodies and institutions.

 The forum provides an opportunity for the Moroccan delegation to showcase and highlight the potential of the Kingdom in the field of investment as well as the dynamic economic development the country is currently experiencing.

It is also a critical opportunity to present the potential of Morocco as a regional hub, capable of attracting direct foreign investment. The Director General of the Moroccan Investment Promotion Agency, Hicham Boudraa, said in a statement to Maghreb Arab Press (MAP),that as a new participant in this forum, the agency is afforded an opportunity to meet economic players planning to invest in the Kingdom.

It also provides a means to examine ways and methods of encouraging any potential partners to set up projects in Morocco.

UAE Minister Sultan Ben Said Al-Mansouri stressed at the opening of the Forum that the main theme of this annual event is to explore and exchange best practices to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and take advantage of these investments to promote sustainable development.

He added that the forum has become a platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in emerging and developed markets, bringing together decision-makers, investors, academics and pioneering businessmen.

The 7th Annual Investment Forum is distinguished by the participation of the majority of the economic, commercial and service sectors, including tourism, health, information communication technologies, finance, transport, Logistics and education.

The conferences and meetings scheduled for this annual will feature a large number of internationally renowned business and investment figures, as well as ministers, government officials and policy makers.
